Life giving water

When it appears God is drowning you in deep water, do not fear...for he is simply cleansing you, so that you may be refreshed

On Sunday 17th July 2011 at approximately 12.30 I was baptised-Its a day that will stick in my head and heart, forever

I was submersed in Gods love and grace, being dunked in the river was soul cleansing, life refreshing, love recieving awesomeness. Im not sure i've ever been so happy, yet so sad at the same time-I feel so humbled to have been privilged enough to know his wonderous love, to have him in my life, to have been chosen by him

It appeared to be a dull and miserable day weather wise, but for that short period of the day, the rain stopped, the air was full of expectation, the river softly flowing, the trees gently blowing, and just as I rose from the water, fully cleansed, inside and out, forever and always by his almighty spirit, a beam of glorious, radiant sunlight shone down, blessing me with the grace of God himself, never have I felt so worthless yet so loved, so undeserving, yet so accepted, so unclean, yet so cleansed, never before have I felt so sinful, yet so forgiven, so cherished, so wanted, so loved, so needed, never before have I felt so small, yet so significant

I never thought id be one of these people that have life changing moments with God, but im more than greatly honoured to have experienced this twice this year, the moment in February, when I really understood all that God does for me, when things really hit home, when his grace, really touched my heart and soul, through and through, was one of the most powerful and magical moments of my life so far, but being baptised into Gods never ending grace definately comes out top, I am so immensely honoured to have recieved such grace, to feel such love, to know such a God.

Words cannot describe how I feel, and how much this means to me...but the one thing, I have really learnt, is that when you need him most, God ALWAYS shines through, like a ray of sunlight on a dreary day

Amen <3

Go in peace, for the Lord is with you, always and forever
